GETTING YOUR BOOK INTO THE WORLD

Only 0.5% of books ever get published - let's make sure your manuscript kicks serious ass

CONGRATULATIONS, MY WRITER SISTER! YOU’RE ONE OF THE INCREDIBLE 3% WHO MANAGE TO FINISH THEIR BOOKS!

You’ve done an amazing thing and I hope you’re celebrating and feeling truly proud of your achievement!

I am on a freakin’ mission to get more women’s books written, published and out there changing the world, so the fact you’ve finished your book makes me so darn happy! (Have some cyber cake on me!)

BUT, YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT – ONLY 0.5% OF MANUSCRIPTS ARE EVER TRADITIONALLY PUBLISHED.

Yikes, so we’re all doomed, right?

Nope.

Even outside of the fact that authors now have the freedom to self-publish, I’ve never been a gal who likes to play the odds or I wouldn’t have written a novel in the first place (and also I hate maths!).

Indeed, my experience as an author, writing coach and editor all have shown me that many of the painful rejections writers receive from agents and publishers might possibly be avoided.

I believe that if writers not made sure their manuscripts were top notch before sending them out, having them assessed or even line edited to polish them to perfection, a lot of those standard ‘We just didn’t fall in love with it’ letters wouldn’t be coming their way.

I also think that having a writing coach or editor’s imput on submission packages is also key as most folks don’t know how to deal with these industry gatekeepers and so they fall down at the first hurdle.

I’m not saying that it’s impossible to escape all rejections though – the submission process is, no doubt, one tough motherfucking road! However, we, my sisters, are motherfucking tough too, so we can slay it!

It took me a decade to get to the point on the right where I was at my book launch, but I got there, despite illness, bereavements, divorce and poverty and I know how to get you there too!

Yes, women writers are still published less than men and there’s a proven gender bias in the industry, so we are facing a bigger fight, but with a good writing coach by your side (ahem!), it can be a whole lot less painful as you’ll not only have the benefit of my professional smarts to get your submission materials right off the bat, but you’ll also have the support to get you through the mean ole ‘No’ emails on the way to the fabulous ‘Yes!’

I can help you increase the odds of getting an agent and book deal or support you to self-publish your work with style.

And, by the way, that picture of me smiling at my book launch sums it up well. It really is that  amazing in the end.

Just click the button below which best sums up your needs and let’s get you one step closer to holding your published book in your hands.

Sharon is a marvel – each session has given me exactly what I needed at the time and I’m so glad I decided to work with her as her coaching has helped me achieve my long-held dream of having a literary agent.

I was looking for support with the submission process. Sharon helped me to keep believing and not get bogged down. It’s great to have a knowledgeable and experienced author and mentor on your side. A.H.

AUTHOR

Sharon is an empowered woman who wants to empower other women.  I was having a crisis of confidence, despite having two other books published, and now I can imagine the first reader picking it up and saying, ‘Wow, I really needed to hear this.’

Sharon is different – sassy, vibrant and with a belief in women’s abilities. She also knows that women, especially as we get older, are not always heard, but we have BIG VOICES when pushed.
