RECLAIMING MY TIMEA one-off session to create a writing practice that will work for you, even in your crazy busy life - because NOW really is the time to write your book
NOW IS THE TIME TO WRITE YOUR BOOK.
Not when the kids grow up.
Not when work calms down.
Not when you retire.
Have you seen the state of the world lately? We need diverse voices creating healing and powerful leadership more than ever.
There’s someone out there who desperately needs what you have to say.
Yours might be the book which helps them stay fighting.
It might even change the whole damn world.
And yet a shocking 97% of books that are started are never finished.
And I get why. Studies have proven that women do at least two hours more a day of domestic work and childcare, as well as working and generally meeting everyone else’s needs, so who has time to write on top of that?
And yet we’re miserable when we’re not writing, right?
We know it’s something we’re called to do. Need to do. We want to role model something better for our friends and our children too. We want to be a woman who expresses her ideas and creativity and kicks ass.
I wasn’t sure how to even go about getting started and I can easily see how “write a book” could just stay on someone’s to-do list for years and years. Thanks to Sharon, I now have a plan to get started with a writing practice that is tailored to me that I am excited about. Not a generic, do your 15 minutes of Morning Pages, but a way to experiment more that feels really good. Sharon is very open, easy to talk to, encouraging and supportive. It was so refreshing. I felt no judgement at all about where I was or was not in the process.KIMBERLY WEISS
I came to coaching really confused and left with a much clearer understanding of how to move forward. Sharon gave me some concrete action steps so that I may begin to develop a consistent writing habit and those steps were clear, simple and easy for me to implement.MILLETTE JONES
IMAGINE YOU AND WRITING GOING STEADY.
GIVE ME ONE HOUR AND WE’LL GET YOU ONE MAJOR STEP CLOSER TO HOLDING A FINISHED BOOK IN YOUR HANDS.
NOW REALLY IS THE TIME TO WRITE YOUR BOOK.
NEVER FORGET YOUR STORY IS IMPORTANT.
SO LET’S MAKE TIME TO TELL IT.
I want you all that for you too. That’s why I’ve created this one-off coaching session so we can create a writing practice that works for you, even with all the current demands of your schedule. A roadmap for a writing life that fills you up and thrills you, but also doesn’t leave you feeling exhausted at the end of your project.
Yes, like Queen Maxine, we’re reclaiming our time. But not just to speak in a meeting and diss patronising mansplainers, but to get back some of our precious days on this earth to do what we really effing want to do.
As Beyonce beautifully sings, “I was here.”
Now let’s prove that in words by leaving a powerful literary legacy – one that starts when we reclaim our time and start typing.
Now imagine getting to write regularly, feeling all that fucking joy.
Imagine holding your published book in your hands.(And, yes, it really does feel as good as you imagine! See my face at the my book launch below!)
I’ve supported women clients with all kinds of challenges to create a writing life they freakin’ LOVE!
IF THEY CAN DO IT, SO CAN YOU!
I’M SHARON ZINK, PH.D. – A FEMINIST WRITING COACH FOR WOMEN WITH BIG THINGS TO SAY.
I’m on a mission to get more women’s books written, published and out there changing the world. I’ve been named as Young Poet of the Year and Writers Inc. Writer of the Year and my first novel, Welcome to Sharonville, was longlisted for The Guardian First Book Award and is currently being pitched as a TV series), so I know a thing or two about how to get this word shiz done.
On top of that, I’ve got a Ph.D. in English (I studied at London and Cambridge and my doctorate was supervised by the famed feminist, Professor Lisa Jardine) and, since leaving academia, I’ve worked as an editor and writing coach with literally hundreds of writers, some of which are now bestselling authors (complete with billboards at train stations!) and others have got multi-book deals with major houses. A few have even gone on to successfully self-publish their work and become big hits on Amazon.
I had to tussle my way through chronic illness and disability, divorce, bereavements and poverty, all of which sapped my energy and creative self-confidence, in order to get my debut novel out – it was a decade-long journey and I want things to move faster and be easier for my clients, but it’s taught me ways to keep writing, even when the proverbial is coming at you from every direction!
